NON-UNION PRODUCTION SET FIREFIGHTING & MEDICAL SUPPORT Southern California EMS provides the best and most seasoned non-union set Medics with many years of fire/EMS experience. All of our staff currently work for various fire and EMS agencies throughout the Los Angeles region such as Los Angeles County and Los Angeles City Fire Departments. Additionally, we have medics who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan and are highly trained in delivering top notch pre-hospital trauma care. Why take a chance with other companies! We are there for you in all facets of production phases ready to respond! The benefit of hiring Southern California EMS is knowing that as Nationally Registered medics, we have the ability to work anywhere in the United States delivering the best in medical care either on set or in remote areas. We come equipped with all the tools and kits to meet the high demands of production company requirements. From your first call or email, we will begin to assess your needs and determine how we can best meet them. Many of our Set Medics are available for dedicated service to a Production Company for the entire run of a show, while some of our other medics have more limited availability, making them ideal for fill-in, relief work, or irregular schedules. Southern California EMS provides all medical equipment and supplies needed for the set and can coordinate with local Ambulance, Air Ambulance and Fire Departments for second unit / stunt standby service at the discretion of the production staff. Southern California EMS also consults with production companies to establish IPP's and CalOSHA EAP's in order to avoid costly fines and possible shut-downs of productions. We can help to develop very extensive EAP's to deal with anything from an injury on set to a natural disaster. EMT / SET MEDIC
- Our set medics are responsible for administering
first aid to cast and crew as needed during the course of the day. We
are also there to identify risks on the set and to notify production
coordinators of any thing that needs to be addressed.
$270 9 hrs.
$25/hr. 9 to 12 hrs.
$35/hr. after 12 hrs.
$20.00 per day kit rental fee
$50 Oxygen charge if used
Most major holidays will be assessed a 15% surcharge LIFEGUARD - Our lifeguards are responsible for looking after the safety of cast and crew while filming in or around water such as Falls lake at Universal Studios. Our lifeguards are trained in basic first aid and CPR which means they can treat minor injuries with ease and confidence. The lifeguards have also been trained when to call 911 or to work with your existing set medics. $270 9 hrs. (includes trauma kit) $30/hr. 9 to 12 hrs. $45/hr. after 12 hrs. Most major holidays will be assessed a 15% surcharge LIFEGUARD / MEDIC - Southern California EMS is known throughout the film/events industry as having the most proficient lifeguard/medics. Any lifeguard can make a save in a pool but it is what happens after the save that is critical. Not only can our lifeguard/medics make the save, but we can also administer a higher level of care such as oxygen/airway therapy and advanced pre-hospital care to cast or crew. Firefighter / Medic - Our Wildland
Firefighter/Medics are perfect for productions that take place in or
near wooded areas such as Pt. Magu State Park or areas where terrain is
rough. We have the experience and expertise to work with state, local
and federal agencies for smoother production operations. We are
proactive in making sure that cast and crew are safe from hazards
normally found in the wilderness.
TACTICAL MEDIC -
Tactical Medics are the newest and most elite breed
of medic out there is in today's changing world. Tactical Medics often
operate in hostile and austere conditions such as SWAT deployments or
perhaps on the battlefield. Their training allows them to operate in
many different situations and would be perfect for any productions that
feature battlefield scenes where stunt workers may be injured. FIRE SAFETY OFFICER / ADVISOR - We now offer off-duty fire safety advisors for your production. Our advisors are not a replacement for authorized inspectors who have enforcement capabilities. Please consult your local fire dept. film division for more information. $400.00 8 hours
