SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EMS IS proud to offer the best trained lifeguard/medics for your pool parties/events...CLICK HERE

We serve Los Angeles, Santa Clarita, and Conejo Valleys!
We provide Lifeguard/Medics all year round!

WELCOME

Southern California EMS is a non-ambulatory, on-site medical standby company located in the Santa Clarita Valley. We offer NREMT-B's, NREMT-P's, Firefighters, Lifeguard/Medics, Tactical Medics, Bike Medics, Motorcycle Medics, Horseback Medics and Set Medics depending on the event you are having. All of our medics are Nationally Registered/Los Angeles County Certified and are actively working with law enforcement agencies, fire agencies and private ambulance companies throughout Southern California. Our staff has the ability to work all over this great nation as they are nationally registered medics.

All of our staff have been thoroughly background checked and tested so that we may offer the most seasoned pre-hospital care providers for your event. We require our staff to undergo continuing education and in-service training to ensure that the skills they use exceed national guidelines. Not all candidates that apply make the cut illustrating the demand we place on experience and proficiency.

Southern California EMS also offers disaster preparedness consultation to Southern California residential home owners. We work with people daily on how to prepare for earthquakes, flooding, brush fires, etc. Our main focus is on earthquake preparedness. We also work with businesses assisting them with becoming OSHA compliant through the development of Emergency Action Plans.

We provide EMS standby at:

  • Church Events (Youth, College, Concerts, Camps)

  • Community Events

  • Private Parties (Weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs)

  • Movie Sets (In studio or on location)

  • Sporting Events (Youth, Schools, Professional)

  • Equestrian Events (Rodeos, SASS Mounted, Hunter/Jumper)

  • Dances

  • School Athletics (Football, Soccer and more)

  • Corporate Functions

  • Concerts and Festivals

**Additionally we are available to provide medics for law enforcement and fire agencies that require medics who are proficient in working in austere/hostile conditions.

**We also provide Tactical Medics for roles in movies and television. If you want that extra element of realism for your project, we are the experts you can rely on.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?

First of all and most importantly we are not a referral agency nor do we sub-contract out any EMT's, Lifeguard/EMT's or Set Medics like all the other companies do! We are the only company in Los Angeles that tests, interviews and background checks all candidates before inviting them to the elite team. This is the key to our success and we earn respect!

Here is a quick comparison chart that clearly illustrates the difference between Southern California EMS and the other so-called event medical stand-by companies.

Southern California EMS

The Other Companies

  • Owned and operated by a 20 year veteran of the fire/ems field.
  • SoCalEMS operates under the rank and file system as established by most major fire depts. in the U.S.
  • We have a senior staff that enforces quality control to ensure that our patients get the best in pre-hospital care.
  • Some of these companies are owned and operated by RN's or EMT's who lack any pre-hospital care experience.
  • Most of all these owners have never had any type of fire dept. experience.
  • Most of these companies do not have a staff to oversee quality control and is usually overseen by the owner.
  • SoCalEMS carries a $2,000,000 insurance policy to cover all aspects of operations. We make sure that all of the SoCalEMS staff is covered.
  • Some of these companies do not have any type of general liability insurance or malpractice insurance which poses a serious threat to any event organizer.
  • Some may require their sub-contracted EMT's to obtain their own malpractice insurance which may not be enough.
  • SoCalEMS purchases, maintains and supplies equipment to its staff.
  • All equipment is state-of-the-art and is used by major fire/EMS depts. around the U.S.
  • All equipment is inspected and re-stocked daily to ensure quality control.
  • All other companies requires its sub-contracted EMT's to have or purchase equipment to be used on the job. This usually means that some of the necessary equipment used in an emergency may not be available since purchasing such items can be quite cost prohibitive.
  • There is no quality control program to inspect and replenish supplies.
  • SoCalEMS staff are required to wear the designated Class B uniforms on the job allowing others to quickly identify the medic when needed.
  • All staff are required to display badge, name tag and rank insignia on the job.
  • All staff is required to be groomed according to company standards and guidelines. This means no tattoo's, no facial hair, and no earrings, etc.
  • All others wear various types of apparel such as full BDU's, Jeans and shirt, polo shirts, etc.
  • Some EMT's look like security personnel.
  • Some EMT's are not properly groomed, have visible earrings or tattoo's.
  • As an extremely professional company, SoCal EMS has one of the most difficult hiring process next to fire and police departments.
  • We test all applicants (Written & Physical Agility)
  • We conduct oral interviews.
  • We run extensive criminal background checks with DOJ, FBI and EMSA.
  • All applicants must pre-qualify before being invited to the testing process.
  • As far as we have researched, all the other companies do not have any testing or background checks in place. This can present a serious problem for the company that sub-contracts out EMT's especially if the EMT is later found to have a criminal record.
  • This places patients in a great deal of potential harm.
  • SoCal EMS is HIPPA compliant.
  • We have a sexual harassment policy designed to deal with serious infractions.
  • Most other companies have not instituted a HIPPA compliancy program.
  • Most other companies do not a sexual harassment policy in place.
  • SoCalEMS requires staff to attend regularly scheduled in-service training.
  • All other companies do not require in-service training.

  • Provide the best training to citizens and EMS professionals

  • Cultivate partnerships with various law enforcement and fire agencies

  • Provide assistance to law enforcement and fire agencies in Southern California

  • Provide community service to local schools, churches, and non-profit organizations

  • Assist businesses, home owners and churches in designing and implementing disaster Emergency Action Plans

Community SERVICE

Throughout the year, Southern California EMS and its network of partners reaches out to the local communities by touching the lives of less fortunate families and children in the Southern California area. Some of these efforts are through programs such as "Toys for Tots" or "Spark of Love" as well as delivering food and supplies to the homes of families that desperately need essentials. We believe that in addition to providing pre-hospital care to the sick and injured, we must also reach out to people who are going through hard times especially the innocent children. As a Christian owned and operated company, we are called to aid those in need. We believe in spreading happiness to those who can not find it. Even if we can touch someone for just a day, it would have been well worth it.

We are calling on other Southern California based ambulance companies and event medical standby companies to do the same. As medics, we are humanitarians and regardless of what others say, this is what we all signed up to do.

If you would like to help us reach out to the community, or to make a non-tax deductible donation, please contact our headquarters. We welcome corporate sponsors!!
